client: Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce when: 2006-2007 One of the major fundraisers for the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce was their yearly televised auction. In 2006, the Chamber decided to expand their market by moving the auction on-line. Now people in more towns participate in the auction. Even family and friends in far away places are able to bid. Moving the auction on-line allowed the Chamber to maintain a local community feeling while expanding their reach across the country. Due to the reduced operational costs, the Chamber saw a significant increase in profit for the on-line auction over the televised auction.
