challenge: Enhance the magazine's printed recipes by distributing recipes electronically to subscribers. Fully searchable and scalable recipes with professionally prepared nutritional information.

solution: ASI developed CookWare,^® a simple, colorful, easy to use recipe management application. Each month, subscribers received an electronic CookPac^® containing all the recipes from the current issue of Cooking Light magazine. These monthly CookPacs eventually moved on-line as the magazine's readership moved to the Internet.
ASI also provided customer support for the product.


Cooking Light magazine focuses on healthy eating and living. Each recipe included in the CookWare project included nutritional information provided by Cooking Light's professional nutritionists. Professionally-prepared nutritional information was unique to the CookWare project.

Cooking Light distributed recipes through the CookWare/CookPac system for 10 years. ASI still receives the occasional phone call and email from people using CookWare.
